Today is a big day....

Cmon you know what day it is...Flag Day!   Of course there is one more reason to celebrate.  I've made it a half a century on this planet!   Yes I know I don't look a day over 49...technically with the time changes, I may not be.

Anyway, it was also our last full day in Europe and we were going to take it easy, after the exhausting journey that lead us through 9 different countries in only 24 days!   Don't get me wrong, it was the greatest trip ever!
But there were also moments when tensions are a little more than optimal.;-) For the most part I slept through the night without hardly stiring.  If you are of a certain age, you know that can be a challenge sometimes.



Random thoughts:

1) We determined that 2.5 days is the perfect amount to take in most cities.
2) iPads rock!
3) WIFI was actually awesome in Switzerland (free and fast, at the Splendid hotel at least)
4) Top notch hotel!
5) Bacon pot!!!
6) People rushing to trains are rude.  We became them..
7) No reservations is the best!
8) Backpacks are a pain (in the back mostly)
9) Bring more socks and shirts...
10) Switzerland is definitely one of the most beautiful places on earth.
