After a 3 hour plane delay because of an engine problem(is that bad?), we finally got out of Philly at 9:10 and were headed for Brussels. Interestingly enough they said we would only be about 35 minutes later than the original time. I'm no math genius but that didn't seem to add up. Eventually we did make up about an hour of lost time and arrived around 10am (which was still 1am for us).
All in all it was a good trip and nothing really major happened that we couldn't overcome. All our luggage got here and we grabbed the next train to Brussels Central. the ride was only about 10 minutes which was nice for our back ends!
We strolled down to Grand Place(which is a plaza in the center of town) with some pretty cool old buildings dating back to 1698. We grabbed a beer (yes it was noon somewhere and we were somewhere). For us it was actually about 3am!
We checked into a cool eclectic hotel (Adagio), after a nice lunch at a streetside cafe. We are all fading fast by the time we picked up a few items at the supermarket and we're thinking Day 1 has been squeezed for all we had...
